1. About GulfIndex

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the GulfIndex website, platform and related services.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using GulfIndex, users agree to these Terms.

2. The GulfIndex Service

GulfIndex is an employer-discovery and career-decision platform.

It provides information and tools designed to help users research, compare and identify employers according to factors and preferences relevant to them.

GulfIndex provides free access to selected information and functionality and additional information and functionality through paid subscriptions.

3. Employer Information

Employer information available through GulfIndex may originate from multiple sources.

GulfIndex may organise, standardise, categorise, compare or interpret available employer information to make it useful and comparable across the platform.

Employer information and workplace practices can change. Information available to GulfIndex may therefore become incomplete or outdated.

GulfIndex does not guarantee that all employer information is complete, current or error-free.

Users should independently verify information that is important to an employment or career decision.

4. GulfIndex Classifications and Derived Information

GulfIndex may use available employer information to generate its own:

• Classifications
• Comparisons
• Categories
• Matches
• Recommendations
• Other employer-discovery results

These outputs represent GulfIndex's organisation, methodology or interpretation of available information.

They should not be understood as statements, assessments or endorsements made by the relevant employer unless expressly identified as such.

5. Matching and Recommendations

GulfIndex uses employer information and preferences selected by users to help identify employers that may correspond with those preferences.

Matches and recommendations are informational and decision-support tools.

They do not constitute:

• A guarantee that an employer is suitable for a user
• Professional career advice
• A guarantee of employment
• A guarantee of an interview
• A guarantee that an employer will contact or respond to a user
• A hiring or employment decision by an employer

Users remain responsible for evaluating relevant information and making their own career and employment decisions.

6. No Employer Affiliation or Endorsement

The appearance of an employer, company, brand or organisation on GulfIndex does not by itself indicate that the employer:

• Is a client or partner of GulfIndex
• Sponsors GulfIndex
• Has approved or endorsed GulfIndex
• Has approved its GulfIndex profile
• Has endorsed any GulfIndex classification, comparison, match or recommendation
• Is currently recruiting

Any commercial relationship or employer participation will be identified where relevant.

7. GulfIndex Is Not an Employer

GulfIndex is an employer-discovery and information platform.

GulfIndex does not employ users on behalf of employers displayed on the platform and does not make hiring or employment decisions for those employers.

GulfIndex does not guarantee any particular employment or career outcome.

8. Accounts

Some GulfIndex functionality requires an account.

Users must provide accurate account information and are responsible for protecting access to their accounts.

Users must not:

• Access another user's account without authorisation
• Allow an account to be used fraudulently
• Attempt to circumvent account security

9. Younger Users

GulfIndex may be used by younger users interested in employers and careers, subject to applicable law.

Where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent, age-related safeguards or other protections, use of GulfIndex is subject to those requirements.

10. Worldwide Availability

GulfIndex is available worldwide, subject to applicable law.

11. Free and Paid Access

GulfIndex provides:

• Free access to selected information and functionality
• Paid access to additional information and functionality

Paid subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis.

The price, billing frequency and features included in a paid subscription are displayed before purchase.

12. Changes to Features

GulfIndex is an evolving platform.

GulfIndex may add, remove, update or reorganise:

• Features
• Employer information
• Data fields
• Classifications
• Comparisons
• Free functionality
• Paid functionality

A particular feature, employer profile or data field is not guaranteed to remain permanently available.

Where applicable, mandatory rights relating to an existing paid subscription remain unaffected.

13. Payments

Payments for paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe.

The applicable subscription price and billing period are presented before the user completes the purchase.

14. Automatic Renewal

Monthly and annual paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the applicable billing period unless cancelled before the next renewal.

The applicable subscription fee will be charged for the next billing period unless the subscription has been cancelled.

15. Cancellation

Users may cancel a paid subscription at any time.

Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal.

Cancellation does not terminate access that has already been paid for. Paid functionality remains available until the end of the current paid billing period.

For example, if an annual subscription is cancelled during the subscription year, paid access continues until the end of that annual subscription period. The subscription then ends and does not renew for another year.

16. Refunds

Subscription payments are not refundable merely because a user voluntarily cancels before the end of the paid subscription period.

No full or partial refund is provided for the unused portion of a monthly or annual subscription following voluntary cancellation.

This does not affect any refund, cancellation, re-performance or other consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

17. Failed Payments

If payment for a paid subscription is not successfully completed, GulfIndex may suspend paid access or return the account to the applicable free level until payment is completed.

18. Acceptable Use

Users must not:

• Use GulfIndex for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
• Attempt to access another user's account
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to GulfIndex systems
• Interfere with the operation or security of GulfIndex
• Introduce malicious software
• Scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically extract GulfIndex information without authorisation
• Build or populate another database using GulfIndex content without authorisation
• Copy, reproduce or commercially exploit GulfIndex content without authorisation
• Circumvent paid-access restrictions
• Misrepresent an affiliation with or endorsement by GulfIndex

19. Intellectual Property

The GulfIndex brand, platform, software, design, database structure, methodology, classifications, matching methodology and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.

Users receive a limited right to use GulfIndex for their own use in accordance with these Terms.

Use of GulfIndex does not transfer ownership of GulfIndex intellectual property to users.

20. Third-Party Websites

GulfIndex may provide links to employer websites or other third-party websites.

Those websites operate independently from GulfIndex.

GulfIndex does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, their content or their services, except to the extent required by applicable law.

21. Service Availability and Changes

GulfIndex may update, improve, change or discontinue features of the platform.

GulfIndex does not guarantee that the platform will always be available without interruption or error.

22. Suspension or Termination

GulfIndex may suspend or terminate access where a user:

• Breaches these Terms
• Uses GulfIndex unlawfully or fraudulently
• Attempts to compromise GulfIndex or another user's account
• Misuses GulfIndex information or intellectual property
• Fails to make a required subscription payment

Users may stop using GulfIndex at any time.

23. Disclaimer

GulfIndex is intended to assist users in researching employers and making career-related decisions.

Employer information, classifications, comparisons, matches and recommendations are provided for informational and decision-support purposes.

GulfIndex does not guarantee any particular employment, career or financial outcome from use of the platform.

Users remain responsible for independently evaluating information that is material to their decisions.

24. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GulfIndex is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from:

• Use or inability to use GulfIndex
• Reliance on employer information
• Reliance on classifications, comparisons, matches or recommendations
• Employment or career decisions made by a user

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

25. Privacy

Personal data is handled in accordance with the GulfIndex Privacy Policy.

26. Changes to These Terms

GulfIndex may update these Terms to reflect changes to the platform, its services or applicable legal requirements.

The current Terms and their effective date will be made available through GulfIndex.

Where required by applicable law, users will be informed of material changes.

27. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates.

Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer or other legal rights that apply to a user.

28. Complaints and Disputes

Users should contact GulfIndex first regarding a complaint or dispute so that GulfIndex has an opportunity to review and resolve the matter.

This does not restrict any legal right or remedy available under applicable law.
